Your first visit is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your condition. We discuss your expectations and determine whether we can help you reach your goals.
You will be asked to complete a registration form so please try and arrive slightly ahead of your first appointment time. The form includes your contact details, health insurance details (if appropriate) and you will need to provide a brief health history with details of any medication you are on. If you wish you can download a form (here) if you would like to complete in your own time.
Physiotherapy appointments will usually be for 30 minutes.
Wearing  appropriate clothing will be helpful for example if we are treating your knee then wearing shorts or loose clothing.
Please bring along any relevant scans/x-rays you may have from your Consultant or GP. The information the you can provide will give us a better understanding of your condition
We are recognised by all major insurance companies however, as policies do vary you check with your insurance provider that you are covered before making an appointment (see guidelines) 

You can either submit your claim directly to your insurer or If your require us to invoice your insurer and be paid directly you must provide us PRIOR to your first treatment with the following information:-

(i) Name of insurer and policy name
(ii) Membership of policy number
(iii) Treatment authorisation code number

IMPORTANT - If you are unable to provide this information in full you will be required to pay for your treatment at the end of each session until you are able to provide the required information
You will be introduced to your therapist who will evaluate your health- related concerns, and then discuss the way forward and potential treatment options.

During the consultation, your therapist will with your consent, conduct an examination including a neurological, orthopaedic, postural and physical assessment. No examination or procedure will carried out without us first obtaining your full consent and agreement.

Once all the information has been recorded and examinations have been performed, we will discuss our findings and answer your questions including the three most popular questions:

1. Can you help me?
2. What do you recommend that I do to get better?
3. How much is it going to cost?

If time allows and if appropriate within your first session we will to start your treatment.
Payment for treatment is required at the end of each session, you can pay by cash and credit/debit card.
Consultation and treatments are carried out by male and female therapists. If you have a preference to be treated by a male or female staff member or feel that you would like a friend or family member to accompany you to any of your sessions then please make it known to us prior to your session
